This was so way too much fun to paint. Not sure if I should go back in and add those phychic lighting bolts around the craniums of the two little guys on the left. In goldleaf maybe???

Grotesque animal

A WIP sketch for a painting. I've got a bit of an obsession/fascination with brains at the moment, and it's been creeping into my sketches more and more lately.

I originally had the entire tail showing, but decided that cropping the image off on the right might add a little more interest and ambiguity.
