Sooo...I saw ofMontreal at the Sled Island festival on my birthday, and man they put on a amazing show. Not only did the band members dress to the nines, but they also had these two guys in black unitards and glitter masks doing performance art on stage to help convey the messages in their lyrics. At one point (I think during Gronlandic edit) they came down to the front and blessed the crowd with glitter! One of the poor guys ended up taking a confetti gun point blank in the gut though. It was rad to see Calgary people actually dancing to a live band (omg!!), but I was still getting some serious stink eye for jumping around and screaming like a complete retard.
Man, what a good weekend.
Ps- I was totally standing next to the balloon guy on the far left.
