Hello everybody!
I guess It's time that I post this.

So through some cosmic random happenstance I am having a show in August. I made it one of my goals for the year to somewhere, somehow score a gallery show, so as you can imagine I am ridiculously excited.
I'm showing six pieces from the past year plus three new paintings I feverishly whipped off this past month.
So if you happen to be in Victoria BC in August feel free to drop by!

The Valencia Wreck

Hello all.
Here is a recently completed project for Parks Canada about a famous nautical disaster which took place off the coast of Vancouver Island during the early part of the 20th century.
I had a month to create 8 illustrations and one wooden Diorama depicting the horrific event. I won't go too much in to the details of the story here, but I totally recommend that you guys read up it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Valencia
This was probably one of the most enjoyable assignments I've had ever had the fortune of working on.
It was a pleasant surprise when the art director asked that I work in ink wash, a medium that I rarely get to visit these days.

Everything is going to be part of an interactive display about the history of the West Coast Trail, so if any of you guys are going to be in the Tofino area next may, stop by the Wikininish Visitors Centre and check it out!
