Comic!

Here is a little 10 page comic that took much too long.
It's kind of based off of my 6 year old self and my life goal (at the time) to live in a lake and be a mermaid.
This is my first comic and it was a difficult yet enjoyable process. I definitely have a lot more respect for the medium now.
I hope you guys get a kick out of it.
Now time to get back to painting!

Teenage girls be crazy, yo.

Hello everyone.
I am all settled here in Victoria, and thought it high time to update with another process post.
This image was done for Work of Arts Magazine, an alumni magazine for the University of Alberta. The article was about extreme mood swings in teenage girls
As I usually do, I started off with a whole swag of rough sketches, just trying out as many ideas as possible...

before narrowing it down to these three. The AD liked the Venus flytrap idea the best, but in the end we wound up going with #1



After some revisions I started the painting.

Hello everyone!
Apologies for the lack of updates, I have been tremendously busy these last few weeks.
After five years, I'm finally getting out of Calgary to start a new chapter in beautiful Victoria, BC. So as you can imagine, job/roomate/apartment hunting has consumed most of my free time.
I'm also working on a short 10 page comic, so expect to see some previews of that soon!
